Provided exclusive software test engineering services and custom equipment development for Monsanto’s trait and technology development programs. Developed a patented method used for automated evaluation of biotechnology crops. Fabricated custom agricultural equipment and developed custom applications and test engineering for industrial robotics including integration of mechanical & electrical systems. Work involved business process analysis and development of productivity enhancement tools for industrial automation. Primary duties involved software engineering support including design of the human machine interface and development of custom graphical machine interface for process control and analysis.

2005-2007 Geographic Information System Analyst / Transportation Planner

Provided expert level GIS support for over $400 million in annual transportation programs requiring extensive environmental, logistical, legal, and financial analysis. Determination and analysis of Functionally Classified Roadways, mapping and development of quarterly Transportation Improvement Program.

Responsibilities include performing scientific studies and research in support of the Unified Planning Work Program using GIS and GPS. Preparation and presentation of reports to public, committees, agencies, and officials.

Integration and customization of GIS ST utilizing ArcGIS scripting and modeling in support of TEAMS compliance efforts for linkage with NEPA. Compliance with Executive Orders regarding Environmental Justice and Title VI compliance efforts using census and demographic data for mapping and analysis.

Scientific report writing showing the utility of advanced methods for classifying vegetation and pavement land-cover types. Significant use of GIS software for land use database development and land cover data visualization involving production work, automated land classification procedures, automated DEM extraction, image filtering, interpolation utilities, spatial analysis, and DEM analysis. Responsible for procurement, tasking, handling, and delivery of digital imagery from space based and airborne sensors.

Managed all aspects of data collection and analysis of artificial wildlife habitat data using GIS. Coordination of research activities involving data gathering efforts for managed artificial habitat sites among federal and state wildlife officials. Developed international research partners and funding sources. Coordinated national bat species distribution mapping project of threatened and endangered US bat species.
